Consider Rule 3.5: A zuchinni is a humble and virtuous vegetable. You won't know how humble it is until you finally find it and it comes out of hiding to grace your table at 8.2 pounds!Dust I Amhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17214613587456861583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20534374.post-63047058131465640652007-08-03T15:40:00.000-07:002007-08-03T15:40:00.000-07:00ALSO PLANT CARROTS AROUND YOUR TQMATQ PLANTS, THEY...ALSO PLANT CARROTS AROUND YOUR TQMATQ PLANTS, THEY'RE GOOD COMPANIONS.OH YES, PUT IN A FEW RADISHES WITH THE CARROTS THEY'LL SPROUT QUICK ENOUGH THAT YOU WONT DIG UP THE CARROTS, ACCIDENTALLY.
NICE POST.jim klaszhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00377990686222427708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20534374.post-35646089009415605562007-08-02T07:49:00.000-07:002007-08-02T07:49:00.000-07:00Great post! Our tomato plants look like Amazon jungle trees...you can hardly reach inside the cages to pick the red ones. The plants we stake are much easier to harvest from. Right now, I'm waiting for this "monster" to ripen...it is beyond huge, a lovely heirloom German Queen. I'll have to post a photo...

Picked a bushel yesterday. Guess what I'll be doing today ;-DKimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15442366625332738957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20534374.post-46766664360746952602007-08-02T06:58:00.000-07:002007-08-02T06:58:00.000-07:00If you have old panty hose, just cut them up and u...If you have old panty hose, just cut them up and use them to tie the plant to the stake....they are more gentle on the tomato stalks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20534374.post-72925747953670216092007-08-01T19:26:00.000-07:002007-08-01T19:26:00.000-07:00That's more like it ;). You can't ever let the tops bud and start to flower. We just pinch our tops every few days and then never flower and they just keep growing growing growing! The basil will do the same...so make sure you pinch off the tops!!

As for the tomatos...you could have safely staked them without damaging them. Cla just uses simple stakes and attaches the plants with garbage bag ties.Jamie Carin and Claudio Romanohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14152021172290149801noreply@blogger.com
