Summertime

A friend sent me this picture of my Becs who is almost 3. This picture really says summer, childhood and innocence and it's a reminder to appreciate it because it's all too fleeting.

Nature's first green is gold.
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

"Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost.

That poem is perfect. Summer, and childhood is sooo fleeting...

This picture is precious...I try not to think about our little angels looking toward the road, but focus more on how contentedly they enjoy the grass they're sitting in.
Why is summer so short? Can we please move somewhere warmer?
